As a result of Title IX legislation passed in 1972 opportunities for female volleyball players to play at the next level and recieve a scholarship have greatly increased. Title IX aims at providing overall equity between genders for college scholarships. For volleyball this has had a very positive impact for women. Currently there are 7500 scholarships available to women opposed to the 180 available to men. This is a great opportunity for female athletes. Miss this opportunity and you could lose out on a $120,000 scholarship (value of a full-ride). Take advantage of Title IX!!! Achieve posts all club fees in advance so that our member families can plan for the upcoming club season! We are happy to provide an easy automated monthly credit card payment system. Unlike some clubs Achieve does not charge big upfront deposit fees. Achieve does not hide any costs. The difference between a clubs stated costs and their real cost can be huge! (No additional club expenses, No mandatory private lessons & No additional surprise Qualifier tournament travel fees). How many clubs post their fees, have no big upfront deposit, provided automated monthly credit card payments and have no hidden additional costs? Other top clubs in the area charge around $7000 for all their 1s teams. At Achieve we offer an uncompromising elite club experience at the lowest cost possible.
Achieve fees include: Registration into SCVA & tournaments, Achieve uniforms and gear (jerseys, practice shirts, warm-ups, bag, shorts), coaching, gym time and coach' s travel. Fees do not include player transportation(airfare), hotel or food for tournaments. Achieve may make a slight adjustments to dues prior to tryouts/commitment date. Why travel to out of state Junior Nationals, AAUs and JNQs? Many families might ask why we would participate in out of state tournaments when we could just play in the local events and save money during these tough economic times. By just playing in local events our players would actually be losing money by not putting themselves in front of college coaches. Our families have invested so much in club volleyball. It would not make sense to miss out on the few tournaments out there that are attended by college coaches. College coaches attend Junior Nationals, Junior National Qualifiers and AAUs. There are a lot of scholarships out there for players at many different levels (DI, DII, NAIA, etc..). With budgets being cut coaches are focusing on these select tournaments.
